Pack Like A Pro For Your Family Holiday In The Sun

Pack Like A Pro

Packing and unpacking for me is the most stressful part of any trip. I used to make list after list. Literally waking myself up in the middle of the night when I remembered something else to add on to our never-ending inventory.
So I thought I’d try to make it easy for you!

My Top Packing Tips

A list App
Download a list app to your phone. I use PackTeo (download here). It allows you to create your list and then tick off as you go. It’s a life saver for me but I am sure there are plenty of other apps out there for you to try. Let me know of any good ones you find.

Packing Cubes
They keep everything together and organised. I use them to seperate different items of clothing so each cube will have say just tops or underwear in it. The multicoloured ones really help so you know what is in which bag without having to open it. Definitely helps the kiddies get themselves ready in the mornings without the entire contents of their suitcase ending up all over the hotel room floor – or is that just my kids?

What To Pack?

I can’t tell you how many of each item to take as that depends on the duration of your trip and whether you have access to laundry facilities so I am sharing my essential list with you.

Toys For Kids
Depending on the ages of your children, its always a good idea tot ake their favourite toy – size permitting. Amelia-Jayne has unicorn that comes everywhere with us in her hand luggage.
A pack of cards is a must have for inflight and evening entertainment
Travel diaries. A great way for the kids to document their travels.
A good book. Bring one for the plane, stick it in your hand luggage.

Remember, forgetting something isn’t the end of the world! You can more than likely pick up whatever you need at your destination! So relax – be as organised as you can and remember its time to get excited! YOU ARE GOING ON HOLIDAY!

Have I forgotten anything?? Let me know in the comments section below!
